Posts & Pages

Two ways to add content to your leaves — time-stamped posts and static pages.

Posts vs. pages

Posts are date-stamped entries displayed in chronological order — perfect for blog entries, updates, and announcements. Pages are static content sections like “About”, “Contact”, or “Services” that live permanently on your leaf.

Writing content

Use the built-in editor to write your posts and pages. You can format text, add headings, and structure your content. The editor supports markdown for quick formatting.

Images

Upload images directly when creating or editing a post or page. Images are stored securely and served from your leaf. Supported formats include JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WebP.

Pinning posts

Pin important posts to keep them at the top of your leaf, regardless of when they were published. Pinned posts display a pin icon so visitors know they are highlighted content. You can pin and unpin posts at any time from the post actions menu.

Tags

Posts can have tags that describe their content. Tags are displayed as pills on each post and help with discoverability. AI can extract tags automatically when you publish, based on your content, location, and topic context.

Sharing and reposting

You can share any public post to one of your own leaves, with optional commentary. Shared posts embed the original content with full attribution and a share tree trail showing the chain of shares. This is how ideas spread across crann.ai — through intentional sharing, not algorithmic amplification.

Visibility and drafts

Each post can have its own visibility setting. Draft posts are only visible to you, while published posts are visible to anyone who can see your leaf. Drafts are filtered from public view automatically.

Comments

Signed-in users can comment on your published posts. As the leaf owner, you can moderate comments — view, approve, edit, delete, and manage them from your leaf dashboard. You receive notifications when new comments are posted.

Reactions

Signed-in users can react to posts with emoji reactions. Reaction counts are displayed on each post. You can see who reacted and with which emoji.
