Community Guidelines

crann.ai is a platform for personal expression, creativity, and connection. These Community Guidelines set the standards for behaviour and content to ensure everyone can use the platform safely and enjoyably. They apply to all content, messaging, and interactions on crann.ai.

1. Be respectful

  • Treat other users with courtesy and respect
  • Disagree constructively — attack ideas, not people
  • Respect other users' privacy and boundaries
  • Do not engage in personal attacks, name-calling, or deliberate provocation

2. No harassment or bullying

We have zero tolerance for harassment, bullying, or intimidation. This includes:

  • Targeted harassment of any individual or group
  • Threats of violence, real or implied
  • Stalking or unwanted persistent contact through messaging or calls
  • Doxxing (sharing someone's private information without consent)
  • Encouraging others to harass someone
  • Sexual harassment or unwanted sexual content in messages

3. No hate speech or discrimination

Content or behaviour that promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination against individuals or groups based on the following characteristics is not permitted:

  • Race, ethnicity, or national origin
  • Religion or belief
  • Gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation
  • Disability
  • Age
  • Any other protected characteristic

4. Content standards

Do not post, share, or upload:

  • Illegal content or content that promotes illegal activities
  • Graphic violence, gore, or content glorifying violence
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery
  • Content that exploits or endangers minors in any way
  • Spam, scams, phishing, or misleading content
  • Malware, viruses, or other harmful software
  • Content that infringes on intellectual property rights (see our DMCA Policy)

5. Messaging and calls

Our messaging and calling features are for genuine communication between users:

  • Do not use messaging to spam, harass, or send unsolicited commercial content
  • Do not record or redistribute calls without the consent of all participants
  • Respect when someone does not want to communicate — do not send repeated unwanted messages or calls
  • The nudge feature should be used sparingly and respectfully

6. Impersonation

Do not impersonate other people, organisations, or brands. Parody and fan accounts are acceptable if clearly identified as such and not used to mislead or deceive.

7. AI-generated content

You may use AI features to help create content, but you are responsible for reviewing and approving all AI-generated content before publishing. Do not use AI features to generate content that violates these guidelines.

8. Enforcement

We enforce these guidelines through a graduated approach:

  • Warning: For minor or first-time violations, we will notify you of the issue and ask you to correct it.
  • Content removal: Content that violates these guidelines may be removed. You will be notified when content is removed and the reason why.
  • Temporary suspension: Repeated or serious violations may result in temporary account suspension.
  • Permanent ban: Severe violations (threats of violence, child exploitation, doxxing) or persistent repeat offences will result in permanent account termination.

9. Reporting

If you encounter content or behaviour that violates these guidelines, please report it to us at hello@crann.ai. Include as much detail as possible, such as the username, content in question, and the nature of the violation. All reports are reviewed confidentially.

10. Appeals

If you believe your content was removed or your account was actioned in error, you may appeal by contacting us at hello@crann.ai. Include the details of the action taken and your reason for appealing. We will review appeals within 10 working days.
